(The Hosting News) – Hostway Services, Inc., a leading provider of cloud, managed and hybrid hosting services, today announced the hires of Tony Savoy as General Manager and Vice President, Managed Hosting and Cloud Services, and Bart HJ De Maertelaere as Vice President of Global Service Delivery. These additions accelerate the evolution of Hostway’s expanding, application-aligned product portfolio, with increased levels of support and managed services.
Savoy brings his virtualized infrastructure expertise to the forefront as he takes the reins of Hostway’s enterprise offerings just as the company prepares to roll out a new set of cost-efficient cloud solutions. De Maertelaere, an industry leader in services and operations, comes aboard as Hostway prepares a large-scale investment in data-center infrastructure to stay at the cutting edge of hardware technology and expand the degree of support it offers on the applications it hosts.

Savoy has over 15 years’ experience in managed hosting, IT outsourcing and cloud computing. He joins Hostway from VMware, where he was Senior Director of the Strategic Program Management Office and Compliance Programs for vCloud Air. Savoy was also with Verizon Terremark as Senior Director of Cloud Products and – prior to Verizon’s acquisition of Terremark – leader of Terremark’s Product Management organization. Savoy’s degree is in Electrical Engineering Technology from the University of North Texas.
De Maertelaere joins Hostway from Emtec, where he was CIO and Managing Director for the Infrastructure/Managed Services practice and the Business, Cloud and IT Service Management Practice. His background includes time supervising Technology and Global Operations functions for the IT Outsourcing Division at Ciber before its sale to SAVVIS/CenturyLink. He’s also worked at Unisys, overseeing its European Security Business and IT Outsourcing Business. De Maertelaere has a Masters’ Degree in Aeronautical Sciences from the Belgian Royal Military Academy, and served in the Belgian Air Force and NATO.
